Greg Otto Architecture Collage
Greg Otto is a Baltimore artist. He has painted over 1000 buildings and has 3000 sketches of the city. Greg Otto was born in 1943 in Abington, Pennsylvania. He studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art in the mid-1960s, and received his B.F.A. in 1969. In the same year he exhibited a drawing at the Newport Art Association annual show, and was awarded first prize by the show's judge, the influential New York gallery owner Betty Parsons.

Objectives:
We will use bold colors to create abstract the buildings of locust point.
we will focus on shape to recreate the look of the building
concentration on craftsmanship and the proper use of materials.
Make the basic shapes of the building (s) you are gonna recreate
Choose 1 color for a building and cut out paper to create the border of the windows on your building. (here we are thinking about unity. Having things the same on the building will make it look they are part of one building despite the colors being abstracted. Unity helps the eye understand the relationships between things. If all the window sills are the same, they will look part of the same building.
