Laurel Burch (December 31, 1945 – September 13, 2007) was an artist that focused on cloisonné and paintings of bright colorful, highly patterened works.

Millions of Cats is a picture book written and illustrated by Wanda Gág in 1928. The book won a Newbery Honor award in 1929, one of the few picture books to do so. Millions of Cats is the oldest American picture book still in print.
Assignment
Follow the directions and draw your own cat inspired by the work of Laurel Burch.
Make sure that you cover your cat in a pattern.
Take your time coloring in your cat using warm fall colors: red, orange, yellow, and brown.
